Hi, I'm Dana.
I am a licensed art therapist and clinical social worker based in the upper west side of New York City.
I support children, teens, and adults in their healing from the effects of trauma or anxiety.
My approach to therapy integrates psychology, somatic experiencing, art therapy, and traditional talk therapy.
The people that find the most success in this type of therapy tend to be self reflective, creative individuals who are looking for therapy that goes beyond talking.
EXPERIENCE
I have been practicing as an art therapist for over 15 years. Along with my private practice work, I am a senior art therapist at New York Creative Art Therapists, PLLC.
I spent seven years working as a trauma therapist with children, families, and NYC case workers to prevent burnout and compassion fatigue.
Earlier on in my career I supported children, teens, and adults of all ages at an outpatient mental health agency, as well as providing in home therapy for children in foster care.
I come to this work with deep gratitude and humility in witnessing people in their darkest moments move through their healing journey.
